Last Minute Christmas Item

Late last week I got inspired to make this table runner. It was a pretty easy pattern to follow and if I would have thought about it a few months earlier-I think it would have been a great project for a class for a holiday project-I'm definitely going to put it on the calendar for next year. I still haven't decided if it will be a gift or become part of our holiday decor so currently it is sitting nicely folded until I make up my mind! I chose the charcoal and lime green to keep it a little more contemporary and then paired it with a fun dot pattern on the back. Unfortunately I don't have a good pic showing the quilting, but I basically quilted loosely snowflakes.

Little Kids Pajama Pants

I had a customer come in yesterday and she bought flannel to make pajama pants for her son and husband. I mentioned that I had recently made some for my son and nephews and that I had gotten the pattern off of etsy....well here's the link if you're interested in purchasing the pattern http://www.etsy.com/listing/62732946/holiday-sale-ankle-biter-sewing-pattern.

The pattern will be emailed to you within 24 hours and it was one of the easiest patterns to follow that I've used recently and the pants turned out so cute. I'll post a pic once my son wears them on Christmas!

Penguin and Fish Embroidery Kits

I found these kits awhile ago and for some unknown reason have been dragging my feet when it's come to ordering them. Well no more....these little guys will be in the shop soon! What do you think???? I think they're so adorable and great for beginners-plus they're from a pretty local person-she's from MN.

Sewing and Quilting Instructors Wanted!

I
'm looking for experienced modern sewers and quilters who are patient, enthusiastic, and enjoy working with people to teach at Drawstring in 2011. Teaching experience is preferred, but not necessary. Our classes will be held weekday evenings and weekend days.

Does this sound like you or someone you know? Please email me at drawstringstudio[AT]gmail[DOT]com with:

– a description of your sewing or quilting experience
– the types of classes you’d like to teach
– your availability, and
– photos of at least 3 recently completed projects.

If you have a blog or website, please include a link. I’d love to check it out.

Thank you!

SALE!

Need I say more? Here's the low down....in store this week all fabrics with a blue dot are $1 off/yard, green dots are $2 off/yard. Patterns are also marked down.

Online: Monaluna, Daisy Janie and other fabrics have been reduced and I may add reductions throughout the week.

Trying to clear out some inventory before we close on Dec 14th so that we can open in the new year with new fabrics for you to look at!

If you live in the area but would like to buy online-go ahead and put in the notes that it's shipping in WI and I'll waive the shipping charges(USPS First Class Mail).

Thanks and Happy Holidays!!!!

Come Visit Us at the Urban Garage Sale

If you've never been to one of the Urban Garage Sales at Turner Hall you NEED to come check it out this Saturday. Great deals on many local shops and Heavy Rotation has awesome deals on t-shirts. Just in time for the holidays and a great way to support local businesses. This is our second time participating in the Sale and I am looking forward to it being a great time once again. Hopefully I won't buy too many things :) You can check out the Facebook page for it HERE
